Older terraces commonly have slate roofs and chimneys, while later homes use concrete tiles. ### What Every Earl Shilton Job Includes Whether it's one slipped tile or a full re-roof, every Earl Shilton job starts the same way: a free inspection for homeowners, with a drone where it helps, followed by a photographic report so you can see the problem for yourself. Local roof problems ## Common Roof Problemsin Earl Shilton ### Old terraced roofs Older terraces near the town centre often have original slate roofs, where nail fatigue causes slates to slip and leaks to appear. ### Chimney stacks Many terraces have chimney stacks with eroded pointing and old flashings, a common source of damp on chimney breasts. ### Rear outriggers Back extensions on terraced homes create valleys and junctions where water collects and leaks start. ### Hilltop exposure Parts of Earl Shilton sit on higher ground, so some roofs take more wind and driving rain. Leicestershire's weather brings frequent rain, winter frosts and occasional strong winds. Frost cracks mortar and porous tiles, rain finds every gap in worn underlay, and wind lifts anything already loose. Catching these problems early with a free inspection is far cheaper than repairing water damage inside your Earl Shilton home. Our process ## Five Steps, NoSurprises - 1 ### Inspection A free inspection of your Earl Shilton roof, by drone where it helps. - 2 ### Diagnosis A photographic report showing exactly what we found. - 3 ### Fixed-price quote One price in writing, with your guarantee confirmed. - 4 ### The work Our team does the job and keeps your roof weathertight each day. - 5 ### Check & guarantee We check the finished work, tidy up and confirm your guarantee.
